This book was published to appear in conjunction with the now defunct TV series Kindred: The Embraced. Still, it is a good source for readers of White Wolf's World of Darkness: Vampire novels. The chapters concentrate on giving background information about the Kindred (vampires), their origins, clan structure and differences, and social status. There is a lexicon which can be very useful to anyone new to the World of Darkness. Short stories of the Kindred are also included: "Smoke" by Don Bassingthwaite, "Eye of the Beholder" by Lawrence Watt-Evans, "Reconciliation'' by Matt Forbeck, and "Ruins" by Jim Morre. |

The major sections of this book give details on a variety of role-playing games and how best to play them. |
